One year, 12 months, a photographic journey of my favourite travel memories of the year, near and far.
CLEVEDON, NORTH SOMERSET
Near to my home and close to my heart – Clevedon, North Somerset. A Victorian pier, sea views, Poets walks and a marine lake which on sunny days shines blue as the sky
BRIGHTON ROCKS
The pier, the rides, the amusements, the beach, the fish and chips, the laughs with friends, Brighton was everything the British seaside should be.
THE COTSWOLDS
Ok so we didn’t quite make it to Rio, but on holiday in the Cotswolds we did hoist the Brazilian flag on the village flagpole in honour of the Olympics. #naughty. Is it still there I wonder? #blamethekids
YORKSHIRE MOORS
An unexpected rainbow over Ilkley Moor. Worth the climb!
STRATFORD ON AVON
An afternoon in Stratford’s oldest pub is surely time well spent.
DISNEYWORLD, FLORIDA
On every child’s wishlist, worth the journey for the smiles.
CRAB FISHING IN CORNWALL
The glorious Crantock gannel being the location for this early morning crab catching expedition.
SANIBEL ISLAND, FLORIDA
Dolphins, manatees, beaches made of shells and fishing off the dock. Sanibel is a haven for marine life and the beach sunsets are legendary.
LACOCK, WILTSHIRE
One of England’s prettiest villages. A frosty walk with friends and a traditional English pub. #perfectdayout
These are some of my favourite travel memories of 2016. But, I’m with Dorothy, wherever you may wander there is no place like home.
